IMPORTANT ADVICE
FOR GUESTS OF OUR CITY Sirio is the telecontrol system used for traffic access into limited traffic zones (ZTL) in the old city centre: it “capts” the vehicle number plates, checks with its entry permit data bank and produces administrative fines for those entering without a permit. Sirio is in function at the entrances of Via Alessandrini, San Vitale, Santo Stefano, Marconi, Riva Reno, San Felice, S. Isaia, Tagliapietre and Viale XII Giugno. Rita: is the 24 hour a day camera system that controls all those routes that are particularly important for public transport, as well as certain areas where private transport is forbidden because being totally or partially limited to pedestrians only. Hotels: Guests staying in hotels, or authorised garages in the old city centre, can request that the City Police Force is provided with details of their car number plate for exemption from these fines. Street Parking + Bus: This is a specific card distributed exclusively to guests by the hotel managements. Safe Bikes: A new bike video-controlled depot has opened in Via IV Novembre (in front of ATCittà). This service is open daily, holidays included, from 9am to 7.30pm. It can cater for 40 bikes with a special promotion charge of 0,50 euro per day.
